Williams-Sonoma at Stonebriar Centre invites cooks of all ages to sharpen their culinary skills at in-store classes and demonstrations held during April.
In the free Junior Chef Classes, kids learn how fun and easy cooking can be. Classes present delicious recipes, from main courses to desserts and snacks. The April schedule includes:
Friday, April 4 at 6 p.m.: Kids learn basic egg techniques from how to crack and separate eggs, hard boil, scramble and make the most delicious egg sandwiches.
Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m.: Fun and tasty session teaches how-to of decorating Easter eggs.
Friday, April 18 at 6 p.m.: Little hands are great tools for making fresh pasta, from rolling to slicing, kids learn how to prepare fresh pasta and surprise mom on Mother’s Day.
Junior Chef Classes are designed for children ages six to 12. Reservations are encouraged and there is no charge to attend. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Free Technique Classes for the month of April feature some of the season’s favorite flavors. The schedule includes:
Saturday, April 5 at 9:30 a.m.: EASTER BAKING. Easter sweets can be anything from a classic coconut cake to a citrus tart. Attendees learn how to make a flaky tart crust as well as other classic baking techniques. No charge to attend.
Saturday, April 12 at 9:30 a.m.: BEST OF BRUNCH. This class helps attendees take this year’s Easter brunch to a new level. Guests learn how to create standards plus new recipes to add flair to a brunch table. No charge to attend.
Saturday, April 19 at 9:30 a.m.: VITAMIX. Attendees learn how to make delicious dips, nut butters and milks with a Vitamix. No charge to attend.
Participants enjoy 10% savings on select same-day store purchases. Individuals who wish to attend are asked to make a reservation by the Thursday before the Saturday class.
